Plan compatibility work around the intended assay

Solvent selection, buffer composition, pH, container material, concentration range and storage conditions can influence an experimental preparation. The appropriate approach depends on the analytical objective, assay matrix and validated laboratory procedure. A laboratory should define and document those variables through its own method-development and compatibility work.

Document observations instead of assuming stability

Record the stated storage condition, preparation date, material identifier, concentration, solvent or buffer system, container type and any visible change. Do not apply a fixed storage duration or stability claim unless it is supported by material-specific evidence and appropriate laboratory controls.

Use controlled laboratory processes
